Halloween – Mon 31 Oct
Tonight will be our halloween night. Don’t forget your costumes! If you don’t want to wear your costume, dress will be C5- FTU. Please dress for the weather.
We well be holding hot chocolate stations throughout the town. Cadets are expected to sign up and attend a shift.
We will set up from 17:00-18:00 (5-6PM) and the first shift will be from 18:00-19:00 (6-7PM) and the second shift from 19:00-20:00 (7-8PM).
Please contact 2Lt Whalley to sign up if you have not already.
Annual Validations & Applications
Annual validations were distributed in September 2022. They are now due. Please return them to Lt Drew.
There are still outstanding documents for new cadets including Code of Conducts and identification documents.

Range & Uniform Care Day – Sat 5 Nov UPDATED
Today is full day activity where we will work on and learn how to properly care for both sets of uniforms. Everyone will also get a chance to shoot.
Bring your uniforms including both sets of boots and a water bottle. We will provide lunch.
We have boot polish for sale, 5 dollars gets you a tin of polish and a Kiwi cloth!
Dress will be appropriate civilian attire.
Time 10am-3pm.
Remembrance Day – Fri 11 Nov

Remembrance Day 2022 is quickly approaching. Your attendance at a Remembrance Day activity is mandatory. The Squadron has been asked to participate in the service at the Memorial Hall with the Legion.
I will need 4 cadets with Blue uniforms to carry flags and/or lay wreaths at the service in Indian Head on the 11th. The Legion is requesting 2 cadet from the Indian Head High School to carry flags on Nov, 10. Please let the CO know if you are interested.
Local Services: You may attend a service in your local community. We ask that you sill dress up and participate in the service if asked to do so by a organizer. This may include standing by the memorial, caring a flag or laying a wreath. You will be in the public eye, so make sure your uniform look top notch. If you don’t have a your full dress blue uniform you may dress in appropriate civilian attire.
School Services: Many cadet may be asked to participate in a service at their school during Remembrance Week. Cadets are authorized to wear their Blue uniforms complete with tunic(jacket) blue collar shirt, tie and the rest of your blue uniform. You must let me know if you are going to participate in a school service. Please email trent.walton@cadets.gc.ca.
Remember to represent Air Cadet and your self in a positive manner when dressed in your uniform in public.
Mess Dinner – Mon 5 Dec
Mess dinner is a long time military tradition where a formal meal is shared with member of a squadron. We would like to invite you to our mess dinner on Monday Dec 5 2022. This will be a served formal sit down dinner with a guest speaker. This is open to cadet and officers. We will be looking for parents to serve the meal. We need to know how many will attend so we can book the food order. Please signup online at the following link.
Dress will be Blue uniforms and bow ties (supplied)
The menu is yet to be determined, previous years has been a chicken or beef main course.
