Transportation
The PSG will hire a local transport company to provide a coach for all transport.
Trip Eligibility
Any cadet, of good standing, from 691 Hawk Squadron on the active cadet squadron by Dec 31, 2017.
Cadets must maintain good standing before and after the trip. Cadets must commit to finishing the cadet training year before the attend the trip.
Costs and Budget
This trip is fully funded and paid for by the 691 Parent Sponsor Group(PSG). The PSG will fund raise to cover the costs of the trip. The DND or RCSU will not contribute funding to this trip.
A budget has been formed and will be followed during the trip. A letter stating the funding is in place and emergency contingency funds are available if needed.
Accommodations
Cadets and officers will be staying at CFB Winnipeg 17 Wing. This is a DND owned facility and was offered to us at a deeply reduced cost.
Cadets will be assigned to a room, single beds 2 to a room and must bring own towels. Each room has a individual washroom.
Room Assignments
Cadets will be assigned to rooms by the OIC
Tasking and Groups
Cadets will be broken down into smaller groups during actives and tours. Cadets will always use the buddy rule and never go anywhere alone. When cadets are odd numbers a group of 3 shall be used.
Senior cadets will be tasked with duties on a schedule.
Dress
Dress will be civilian attire for the duration of the trip. Please dress for the weather.
A Kit list will be give to the cadets.
Meals
Breakfast will be at the mess hall.
Lunch meal will be a Box lunch from the base mess hall.
Supper will be a sit down family style restaurant. ie. Montana’s, Kelsey’s, Milestones, Boston Pizza. These meals will be provided by the PSG.
The PSG will purchase some snack and water for the cadets while on the bus and during tours. Any other food purchases will be the responsibility of the cadets.
Conduct
Each cadet will read, agree, sign and follow a code of conduct.
Personal Costs
Each cadet is permitted to bring along spending money for extras, souvenirs, or keepsakes. The officers and chaperons will not manage these funds. Cadets do not need to bring hundreds of dollars to spend. There will be a limited amount of time to shop. All admissions ,accommodations and meals will be provided.
