30 December – Squadron Stand Down

The cadet squadron will stand down for the holiday break. No cadets on December 30, 2019. Cadets will resume on 6 January, 2020.


Ski Day – Thursday January 2, 2020

The permission forms are due on Monday night. Please make sure to return them. These were handed out last week. I have attached a PDF of the parent package including the permission form if you need an additional copy.

Lunch will not be provided. Please either bring a lunch or be prepared to purchase a lunch at Mission Ridge.

We will be holding our annual ski day at Misson Ridge on Thursday, 2 January, 2020. The day will run from 09:30-15:30 (9:30 AM – 3:30 PM).

You must check in with an officer before you leave for the day. If you are staying later with your family, you must also let us know.

2Lt Whalley will be putting up a facebook post closer to the date. Please indicate what sport you would like to participate in (skiing or snowboarding. ) Please also indicate if you have your own equipment and if you have family coming with you. (Your family is more than welcome to join us, however the squadron will not pay for non-cadets. Any additional members can, however, use our group rate for pricing.

Regional Summer Camp Applications

Regional summer camp forms were previously distributed. Additional copies are available upon request. If you would like to apply for a camp, make sure you grab one of these forms.

The selection forms are due back 6 Jan, 2019.


Code of Conduct Forms

The Cadet Program has established a revised code of conduct. As such, all cadets and parents are required to sign this form. They were sent out on 4 November.

These were due 18 November. Please bring them back on 6 January, 2020. If you need another copy please see 2Lt Drew.

Coding Club

Coding Club is open to everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are brand new or have some experience with coding, if you are interested, please come out! We will start out with an introduction to programming and will work our way up to creating a game. 

If you have your own laptop and power supply please bring it. If not, one can be provided for you.

Coding Club will continue after the Christmas break.


Curling

All cadets interested in trying out for the curling team are invited to attend the try outs and practices. We need 5 curlers to make out team. No experience is necessary.

Brooms and sliders are available or bring your own if you have them. You must bring clean indoor shoes.

CURLING HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 5 JANUARY, 2020.

Team practices will be January 12, 19 and 26.


2021 Easter Trip

Please start bringing back your forms for the easter trip on Monday night.
