Code of Conducts

Code of Conducts are required annually and are still overdue for several cadets. Please return them on Monday. If you require another copy, please see Lt Drew.

Sun 26 March – Around the Pole Activity

Throughout the training year we learn about airplanes and how they fly. This activity gives the cadets a hands on way of seeing it in action. Cadets will design and build a small model airplane from supplied materials, foam board, hot glue, 3d printed parts and a small electric motor. We then hook their creations to a guide wire attached to a central pole and test to see how well it flies…. or not. Cadets make adjustments to their designs to make the best flying machine they can. Last year cadets had a blast and it was a great time. Please plan to attend.

This activity will be at the hall and will run from 10:00-15:00 (10AM-3PM).

Dress will be appropriate civilian attire. Cadets should bring a water bottle.

Lunch will be provided.

Cadet 365 Accounts

Cadet 365 is a cadet office account that allows cadets access to Microsoft products free of charge. This includes giving them access to Teams where various communications and resources are provided.

All cadets have been issued a Cadet 365 account and credentials were provided previously. All cadets need to log into and finish setting up their accounts.

Once set up, cadets also need to complete the Cyber Security Awareness course. Once your account is set up, the course can be accessed by searching the home page or via this link https://cjcr365.sharepoint.com/sites/cyber

These accounts are becoming increasingly important and it is required for summer camps as online courses and communication come through this account. Cadets cannot participate in summer training without a valid Cadet 365 account.

If you need assistance setting up your account or require your login credentials, see Lt Drew on Monday night. You can also contact the Helpdesk at 1-855-252-8082.

Step by step procedure to complete the initial onboarding and FAQ for cadets are available on Canada.ca.

CAF Tech Talks

The CAF Tech Talks is a regular weekly Canadian Armed Forces engagement opportunity to introduce cadets to various CAF members, their occupation, career, and some equipment and tools of the trade. These episodes are interactive so cadets have the opportunity to ask questions directly to CAF members. They introduce some of the many CAF trades (not normally portrayed in the popular media) which are vital to the overall CAF team and mission success. Participation is entirely optional

These are only available to access via teams, which is another reason why it is important for cadets to complete their Cadet 365 account setup.

Below are the current upcoming sessions. If you would like to attend let an officer know and Lt Drew will send you the meeting invite.

Thursday 23 March – Meteorological Technician at 20:00 (8PM)
Meteorological technicians brief on, and forecast weather conditions in support of operations at home and abroad. All CAF team members (like artillery, reconnaissance, aircraft, ships) require accurate forecasting for their own tasks planning and execution.

Thursday 30 March – Focus of the Military Museums at 20:00 (8PM)
This visit will be the the Military Museums of Calgary where we will visit some of the exhibits specially selected by subject matter experts.
