The 2 cadet who are taking the interviews will wear full uniforms and bring civilian attire to change into.  It is the individual cadets responsibility to ensure they are prepared for the interviews. Please ask questions, study the given prep material, and come prepared to the mock boards.

Selection Board Interviews will take place Sunday Jan 3 time TBD.

The 3 Cadets who applied to attend a National Summer Training course need to take a Selection Board Interview. It helps them to practice a few times to become familiar with the process.

We will have 2 mock selection board interviews on Jan 21 and 28. We have 3 parents and our league director coming out to assist.

Posted below are links to some resources for the cadets taking the interview.

9 Some Tips On Selection Boards

Spaghetti Supper

Please bring money from sold spaghetti supper tickets! I will be there tomorrow to collect so that we know how many guests to plan for!!!

The date is now officially set and the hall is BOOKED! The SPAGHETTI SUPPER will be held on Sunday January 27th! We are asking ALL FAMILIES to donate a prize item to raise money at the supper. There is plenty of time so beg, borrow or steal to get a prize! (Just jokes, don’t steal!) Maybe you receive a Christmas gift you will never use – donate it! Maybe you are great at talking to businesses to get prizes donated – do it!! Or maybe you want to hit up the stores on boxing day for a sweet deal! Whatever way you want to do it , please start collecting prizes and bring them in January! Remember we can’t do this on our own – we need EVERYONE to help!

A letter with more information will be sent with the tickets asking for a dessert as well as a prize item! Some helping shifts we will need filled.

Cadet Curling

691 has been provincial curling champs 4 times! We are still looking 2 cadets who would like to curl in the Zone curling bonspiel in February. Please let CI Heisler know if you are interested.

Effective Speaking

From the Desk of the TrgO

This is a quick reminder to the level two cadets and the accelerated cadets that they should have a first draft of heir effective speaking speech ready for this Monday night! We can review and share ideas!

Tri-Service Volleyball

691 has been invited to a Tri-Service (Sea, Air, Army) volleyball tournament March 9 in White City. This will be a competitive activity. If there is enough interest we will put together a 8 person team. We are asking a senior cadet who is interested in volley and taking on more responsibility in organizing and putting the team together.

Volunteer Screening

All parents are encouraged to become a screened volunteer. All parents who interact with cadets must have a police record check and an Air Cadet League volunteer screening completed.
