Dress for Monday

Monday is Sports Night. Dress is civilian attire.NO Uniforms.

The 3 cadets who are taking mock selection boards for the this week will wear full dress uniform and bring civilian clothes to change into.


2019 Summer Training

The application deadline has passed. The CO is processing the applications, offers to attend summer training will be presented in lat Feb or Early March.


Selection/Mock Boards

Jan 21 and 28 we will be holding mock selection boards practice. The 3 cadets who are taking the interviews will wear full uniforms and bring civilian attire to change into.  It is the individual cadets responsibility to ensure they are prepared for the interviews. Please ask questions, study the given prep material, and come prepared to the mock boards.

Selection Board Interviews will take place Sunday Jan 3 at the HMCS QUEEN, Navy Way, 100 Regina please be there 30 minutes ahead of your interview.

The 3 Cadets who applied to attend a National Summer Training course need to take a Selection Board Interview. It helps them to practice a few times to become familiar with the process.

We will have 2 mock selection board interviews on Jan 21 and 28. We have 3 parents and our league director coming out to assist.

New Flight Simulator

Captain Walton has been working hard over the pas 2 months to construct a new flight simulator for the squadron. It’s very close to completion! Hopefully it will be ready to use next week.


 

 

Effective Speaking

This is a quick reminder to the level two cadets and the accelerated cadets that they should have a first draft of heir effective speaking speech ready for this Monday night! We can review and share ideas!


Tri-Service Volleyball

691 has been invited to a Tri-Service (Sea, Air, Army) volleyball tournament March 9 in White City. This will be a competitive activity. If there is enough interest we will put together a 8 person team. We are asking a senior cadet who is interested in volley and taking on more responsibility in organizing and putting the team together.


Volunteer Screening

All parents are encouraged to become a screened volunteer. All parents who interact with cadets must have a police record check and an Air Cadet League volunteer screening completed.
