Monday Night Parade
Monday night dress is civilian dress. We need to do some Mud Roller Prep and ACR practice as we are behind on our drill.
Please bring your boots and polish.
Operation Mud Roller
Activity: Spring Ex. – Mudroller 2018
Location: Camp Monahan, Katepwa Lake
Day &Time: Friday May 11 from 4:00pm to Sunday May 13 by 3:00pm
Transportation: Private Motor Vehicle (Parent Self Drive)
Meals: Provided by 691Sqn
Details:
This day is a mandatory training weekend for all 691 Hawk Cadets. We start the day on site, which means that parents need to arrange transportation to and from the event. Appropriate kit according to the accompanying kit list is expected. Parents to drop cadets on site by 5:00pm fed, supper is not provided. Snacks later in the evening will be provided.
Visiting guest units will be departing after 1:00pm but 691 cadets are expected to be on site for cleanup and kit returns until between 2-3 pm. Please ensure your cadet is able to support our squadron in the take down.
Personal KIT LIST
1 POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE, DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.!!!!!
3 pairs trousers (no rips, no frays, suitable for outdoor activities)
5 pair’s socks
3 pair’s underwear
3 T-shirts
1 sweater
1 outer jacket suitable for time of year
Rain Gear
1 pair-hiking boots (recommended)
1 pair of runners
Personal toiletries including
-toothbrush
-toothpaste
-hairbrush
-deodorant
-towel
THESE ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT EXCEPTION
- KNIVES, FIREARMS, PAINT BALLS, LIGHTERS, MATCHES
- TOBACCO, ALCOHOL, DRUGS (ILLICIT OR NON PRESCRIPTION)
- SPEAKERS, CELL PHONES,
- PORNOGRAPHY OF ANY FORM.
Individuals found to be in the possession of the above will immediately be removed and sent home at their parents’ expense.
Paint Fundraiser
Reminder to all parents that we are hosting a paint night on May 7. This is an important fundraiser for our squadron. Hope to have everyone come out. Please consider supporting the squadron by registering and maybe getting a few friends to join you.
Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR)
The ACR will be held on Monday May 28, Awards and ACR practice will be on Sunday May 27. We will also hold a family year end BBQ after the ACR practice and Awards. More info to come.
