Remembrance Day remembrance-day

Remembrance Day is a Mandatory Citizenship activity for all Cadets. This it falls on a Saturday. Each cadet is authorized to parade at the local service in their home town. If no service is available they can attend the service in Indian Head.

The Indian Head Legion has asked us to provide Cadets to parade with the Legion members again this year.

Many of you will be asked to participate in your school service. You may wear your uniforms. Your dress will be above the standard. In some cases you may be the only person in a uniform representing the Veterans, Cadets and Canada. You will conduct your self in a respectful manner at all times. You may be asked to lay a wreath or hand out poppies.

You must let Captain Walton know if you are wearing your uniform to school. Email me at 691hawk@gmail.com with full name, school name, town and date of service.

What to wear: Full dress uniform blue collar shirt with tie and medals, make sure you have a poppy. 2-poppy-placement-cadets

When to Salute: You will stand and salute during O’ Canada, God Save the Queen, The Last Post and Revelry(Rouse). If and when you lay a wreath, or when you walk by a Canadian Flag. If you meet a Military Officer in uniform you will salute them.

If you don’t know what the Last Post and Revelry sound like check them out below.
