Level 5 Training Sessions

The annual level 5 training sessions will be held in Regina or Saskatoon Dec 8-10 2017. Every level 5+ cadets are encouraged to attend and become a Certified level 5. This will help you to learn advanced leadership and instructional techniques that will benefit the squadron and yourself! If you plan on applying for senior level camps or the Flight/Sgt or WOII positions please plan to attend. Please talk to Capt. Walton for more info.

Deadline is NLT OCT 30.

Merit Review Boards

Cadet wishing to be considered for promotion to the ranks of WOII and WOI may request a merit review board interview. Qualified cadets must submit a well written letter to the CO requesting a interview. The letter should include the reasons why they think they deserve a promotion, accomplishments, future plans and areas to work on.

After the letter is received a date will be given for the interview.

Ground School

Cadets wishing to write the flying and gliding exams in January and apply for the flying or gliding scholarships in the future are encouraged to attend ground school. We will try to link up with the ground school in Regina on Sunday evenings VIA a web meeting. This will require dedication from cadets to learn the material and to preform self study.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is a Mandatory Citizenship activity for all Cadets. This it falls on a Saturday. Each cadet is authorized to parade at the local service in their home town. If no service is available they can attend the service in Indian Head. The Indian Head Legion has asked us to provide Cadets to parade with the Legion members again this year.

Many of you will be asked to participate in your school service. You may wear your uniforms. Your dress will be above the standard. In some cases you may be the only person in a uniform representing the Veterans, Cadets and Canada. You will conduct your self in a respectful manner at all times. You may be asked to lay a wreath or hand out poppies. You must let Captain Walton know if you are wearing your uniform to school.
