Monday’s dress for parade is C4 – Cadets will wear tunics and blue t-shirts.
New Cadets
It’s great to see lots of new cadets. Welcome we hope you will have fun, make some new friends and learn something. We have lots of activities coming up so get involved. We still need more new cadet to help build the squadron, so if you like cadets so far bring a friend!
Please fill out and return all form as soon as possible. We need the forms back so you can participate in all cadet activities. Remember we need a copy of your Sask health card and birth certificate. Don’t miss out on the fun activities coming up get the paper work in!
Car Raffle Tickets
Please sell the car raffle tickets they are due back to the parent committee October 15.
Congratulations to CI Ron Heisler
2018 “Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Lifetime Achievement Award”© has been awarded to Fire Chief Ronald T. Heisler, MFR of Qu’Appelle, SK.
CI Heisler works very hard volunteering his time with the cadets, fire department and many other organizations. CI Heisler and Ms. Lynn Severt will be traveling to Slave Lake Alberta to receive his award. Congratulations Ron.
Yearly Validation Forms
Please Fill out and return the yearly validation forms to Ocdt Drew ASAP. Please verify all the information on them is correct and accurate.
Almonds
There are plenty of Almonds to sell. Drop by the supply room to pick some up.
Uniforms
If you grew over the summer please bring in small uniform parts and we can get the swapped or order you some new gear. Polish those boots!
Operation Evergreen
Operation Evergreen is our annual fall exercise with 606 and 752 squadrons at camp Saskadet.
A sign up, consent form and kit list will be available on Monday for the trip.
Date: Sept 28 -Sep 30
Location: Camp Saskadet (near Green Water Lake Prov Park)
Time: Drop off at the Memorial Hall @ 5:00 PM Sept. 28-Pickup at the Memorial Hall @ 3:00 PM Sept.30
This camp is one of the mandatory training exercises for the year.
Drones, Planes and VR Goggles!
The quad-copters (drones), planes and VR goggles are here. We will bring them by this week to show them off. 2 sets of goggles are still in route from China but the rest of the fun is here.
Gliding
Cadets will be gliding on Sunday Oct. 7th. The bus will depart from the Memorial Hall and transport cadets to CFB Moose Jaw for a day of flying.
Exact timings and signup sheet will be handed out his next week.
