Weekly Announcements Sept 9, 2018

Cadets Starts Monday Sept 10th

A new training year of cadet will start on Monday Sept. 10th.  We are looking forward to another fun filled and exciting training year.

We have put together an extensive training year, you can check out the schedule on the home page or click here.

Some new activities we are planning this year.

Quad-copters, these 4 bladed “drones” are made to fly inside and have a small camera in the nose. We will have a VR headset and it will feel like you flying in doors!

Night Vapor RC Planes, this plane is super light weight and fly’s very slow, perfect to introduce the cadets to remote control flying.

A new flight simulator, we have just started to gather pricing, but this new flight sim will feature a Cessna style control yoke a set or rudder pedals, throttles, and head tracking across 3 screens.  There will be lot of work to get this ready but we can’t wait!

Easter Trip. There will be an Easter trip this year. We are still in the early planing phases and will reveal the location and dates in the coming weeks.

Range, we now have two range safety officers this means we can get more cadet through the range every range night. If there is interest we could have a range team.

We will still have to regular activities, like: 2 Saskadet trips, Operation Mud Roller, Gliding, Map and Compass, Uniform Care, Rockets, Park Cleanup, Skiing, Curling,  Volleyball, sports night and tours. There is something for everyone. If you have an activity you’d like to do let us know.

Bring Someone New!

More cadets means more opportunity for the squadron! We need more cadets especially 12 yrs old youth. If you know someone who may like to join, bring them along and check us out.

Cadets Absence Attendance Policy

Attendance is very important in the Air Cadet Program. For safety, like winter storms and planning reasons, we need to know when your not able to attend a activity or parade night.

There are three ways to let us know you won’t be at cadets.

  1.  Call the cadet office @ 306-695-2795 and leave a message.
  2.  Use the cadet absence link on the home page.
  3. Email 691hawk@gmail.com

Facebook posts, word of mouth, or verbally telling a staff member is not sufficient, because we can’t always remember.

Uniforms

If you grew over the summer please bring in small uniform parts and we can get the swapped or order you some new gear. Polish those boots!
